You are looking at a Gemeinhardt 2SH Flute with a Solid Sterling Silver Headjoint. This flute was made in Elkhart, Indiana, USA. It is used but in good overall condition, showing normal signs of use including scuffs, scratches, tarnish, and minor grime throughout. The silver plating on the body and footjoint shows wear, with some areas where the base metal is showing through. The headjoint is stamped Solid Silver and features the engraved Kurt G. Gemeinhardt monogram.
The flute has been tested and plays. Everything appears to be fully functional, and we did not find any dents or bent rods. The pads are older and show discoloration from age. The flute plays as it is now, but it would benefit from a tune-up and pad replacement by a technician. This is noted so buyers know what to expect.

The Gemeinhardt 2SH is a step-up flute that pairs a solid sterling silver headjoint with a silver-plated body and keys. It features closed-hole (plateau) keys, an offset G, and a C footjoint. The sterling headjoint gives it a warmer, more resonant tone than standard all-plated student flutes, making it a popular choice for advancing students.
The case is in good working condition. The latches, hinges, and handle are all intact, and the interior lining shows wear from use. What you see is exactly what you will receive. Please review all pictures carefully before purchasing.
